Steven Wescott - Effective Myotherapy Ballarat

About Steve

I love what I do as a Myotherapist and am passionate about health, wellness and the positive effects massage and myotherapy have on our overall wellbeing.

I’ve been working in the massage industry for 14 years, both as a clinical therapist and as a teacher of massage for Federation University.

At Effective Myotherapy, I am dedicated to the care and wellbeing of all my clients utilising a range of techniques tailored to your individual requirements.

What Is Myotherapy?

Myotherapy is a form of physical therapy used to assess and treat soft tissue injuries, dysfunction, and myofascial pain affecting movement and mobility. Steven uses a range of techniques to help reduce the pain, restore function and prevent further injury in the future. Once the injury or source of the pain has been assesed, treatment options are then customised to your specific needs and can vary from basic massage to more complex joint and soft tissue excercise programs.

What treatments / techniques are used?

A treatment plan will be tailored to your specific needs, and can include:

What does it mean to help people help themselves?

In these somewhat uncertain and confusing times we need to focus on the positives and maybe push the reset button. It’s a good time to look at new and inspiring ways to live and maybe ask ourselves some questions. What to do? What…

On the evening of the 31 March we were informed that Massage therapists, Remedial therapists and Myotherapists were no longer allowed to have their clinics open for face to face clients, so as of now both my Ballarat and Ararat clinics are closed. However,…

Steve has treated me on and off for many years.  When I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2012, Steve used a variety of techniques to help alleviate my pain including massage, reiki and stretching.  Steve has always provided effective results, being gentle when my body needed him to be, but also being thorough enough to deal with the underlying causes of my pain.  He has not only provided effective treatment, he has also provided caring advice, a wealth of knowledge and a holistic approach.  Steve has always gone above and beyond whenever I have needed him and I would highly recommend Steve to anyone looking for an effective, knowledgeable, compassionate therapist who gets results.
