What is myotherapy?
Myotherapy is a form of physical therapy used by a qualified practitioner in the assessment and treatment of soft tissue injury, dysfunction and myofascial pain affecting movement and mobility. A range of techniques from basic massage to more complex joint and soft tissue mobility protocols are used to reduce pain, restore function and prevent further injury in the future. Myotherapy is applied in the preventative, corrective and rehabilitative phases of therapy.
What to expect at a myotherapy treatment:
The initial appointment will include a thorough medical history, and physical assessment including, posture, range of motion, orthopaedic and neural tension testing.
